We continue to look for herbs everyday in the vast plantation of 8,000 hectares

VioLux Loei Herb Farm is a vast natural area of ​​over 8,000 hectares (1,800 times Tokyo Dome). Workers search the area for target herbs every day. Why is such work needed?

More than 90% of the herbs collected in the tropical regions are present in this farm, of which 95% are original species that have not been bred. Plants cannot move. In other words, based on the idea that the current place is the “best” place for the plant, in order to make good quality herbs, we continue to look for them everyday.

When a target herb is found, based on the idea of “super-natural farming” where we do not encourage excessive growth or disturb nature, we divide the roots one by one.
By growing in harsh nature, herbs increase their quantity of “antioxidants.” These “antioxidants” give benefit to us. It is not our aim to grow large plants so we never use fertilizers that are a source of damage to nature.

　　　　

We only collect the amount needed as products

At the VioLux Loei Farm, we are always studying a variety of herbs. With "super-natural farming", which is based on not harming nature, we take time and efforts to increase herbs and harvest them little by little.

By harvesting only the herbs that we grow at the appropriate time, we can take advantage of their effectiveness to the fullest extent. By the way, for some herbs such as Pueraria (white Gaukurua), the active ingredient is significantly reduced depending on the time of harvest. We effectively deal with this fact using our rich experience in areas such as Thai traditional medicine, and harvest at the time that will deliver the best performance. Herbs are alive, and not only does the nutritional value fall by oxidation over time, they become acrid or bitter. Therefore, each time we only collect enough for the products. We only collect about 1% of the growth. It takes time but this is our commitment to deliver better quality products.
